Doug is extremely knowledgeable, communicative and flexible. He worked with us to figure out the best location for our radon mitigation system/pipes so as to not interfere with future renovations. His work is exceptional and we had lots of follow up from him to ensure everything was working well. He’s obviously great at what he does because he brought our radon level from 66 pCi/L to 0.4 pCi/L. We already have, and would recommend again in a heartbeat!

We are extremely satisfied with the services provided by McKee Environmental, Inc. Our at-home radon test resulted in 11.2 pCi/L. After installing the mitigation system in our basement, we are now down to safe levels, with an average of 1.1 pCi/L. Doug is trustworthy and thorough. 10/10 recommend!

Doug was amazing to work with! We had a current radon removal system installed by another company prior to us owning the house and learned it was failing to properly evacuate the basement with readings >100 at times. We had the old company attempt to fix it and they were not successful and not persistent in helping us. Doug was persistent in figuring out the right way to solve this issue by isolating various areas within the basement to see why the current system wasn’t completing its job and even tried changing which vents were open/closed on the current system and eventually figured out we needed to put a 2nd system in in the opposite corner of the basement and it worked! Brought our levels to <1.0 on average! We are so thankful for his dedication on our difficult case!

How to describe McKee Environmental Inc.? Prompt, Professional, Efficient, Expert, . . . Doug McKee, a PA-certified radon mitigation professional, scheduled a meeting within a week of our initial contact. During that meeting he performed a careful examination of the five rooms of our basement, our garage, and exterior and asked detailed questions about the house, additions, utilities, and attic spaces. He demonstrated his expertise by reviewing several alternative radon control installations and the pros and cons of each one. He worked with me regarding possible routing of the exhaust pipe to minimize length and maximize concealment. A week later, his crew, working under his supervision, were clean, efficient and quick, taking less than three hours to drill a hole in our basement floor in an unobtrusive location, installing the vent stack through the double wooden joist into the garage, up the wall behind four tiers of wire shelving and into the garage attic where they placed the radon mitigation fan and continued the vent pipe out the sidewall attic ventilator baffle. They contained all drill dust and left the project debris-free and clean. Following installation Doug left an electronic monitor in our basement for 50 hours to verify the reduction of radon present. I tested pre-installation levels to be about 4.4 pCi/L. Post-installation testing recorded an average of 1.5 pCi/L
